Teacher in disaster area , South East Asia
English teachers for a recovering natural disaster zone in South East Asia. Teaching conversational English to 11-13 year old students. 30% of the students are amputees.
3,400 students and teachers have been seriously traumatized. Survivors are temporarily based in a large city. More than 30% of the students are amputees.
Duration: 3 months to 3 years
Target group: 11-13 year old students
The Need: Urgent need for conversational English teachers. There will be 20 classes of Junior 1 students with about 40+ students in each class. The school is looking for native speakers to teach conversational English. This is an unsalaried position.
Applicants should have approximately five years' teaching experience. You must be fit, and be prepared to live in hardy conditions.
